ORIX Education Development Center project (EDC) was initiated in 2006 by cooperation between ORIX Social Fund of ORIX Corporation Japan, Minsai Center Japan (MCJ), and The Education for Development Foundation (EDF). The EDC supplies basic facilities for educational administration and support the improvement of education quality for schools in the remote area, especially in the Northeast of Thailand.

In September  13, 2007  the education  development center,  which consists of a computer room and a library,  necessary educational  materials,  100 scholarships and 40  bicycles was donated to  Ban Hauy Salao School,   Amphoe  Prakonchai,  Buriram province.
The handover ceremony was honored  by   Mr. Nobuyuki  Kobayashi,   Corporate Senior Vice President of  ORIX  Corporation ,   Mr. Harukazu  Yamaguchi ,   Managing Director of
ORIX Auto Leasing (Thailand) Co., Ltd., Mr.  Takashima Hidehiro ,  International Business Department Manager,  ORIX Corporation ,  Ms. Masumi  Fujita ,  Corporate Administration Group Manager ,  ORIX Corporation, Mr. Jiro Yoshikawa, Vice President of Minsai Center Japan , Mr. Sunphet Nilrat , Managing Director of EDF , and Ms. Charuwat Boossamalee, Project Management Director of EDF.
 

At present, ORIX Education Development Center is serving as a learning center for children in Ban Huay Salao School and providing educational services and computer trainings for community leaders, and many other interested populations from communities.

This  year  on  25 th  September  the  education  development  center  will  be  donated  to
Ban  Na  Kae  School ,  Amphoe  Meuang ,  Sakon  Nakorn  province  and  the  handover ceremony  will  be  honored  by  Mr.  Haruo   Nemoto ,  Deputy  General  Manager of
ORIX Corporation, Mr.Mitsuhiro Nakao, Vice President of ORIX Auto Leasing (Thailand) Co., Ltd., and Mr. Jiro Yoshikawa, Vice President of Minsai Center Japan.

ORIX will continue our activities that contribute to the betterment of society.
